I know what it’s like to feel stressed and overwhelmed, constantly chasing the next best thing
Hi! I am Olya, a Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapist (HDipCBH) based in London.
For years, I pushed myself to meet impossibly high standards: in work, in life, in everything. I worked in fast-paced startup environments, where burnout was so common, it was never taken seriously. Stress, anxiety, and self-doubt became the norm.
It wasn’t until I hit my own breaking point (more than once) that I realised something had to change. That moment led me into deep self-reflection, therapy, and self-development. I wanted not only to feel in control of my own life again but to understand how we can truly break free from ongoing stress, overthinking, and self-doubt.
My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
My background isn’t a straight line: I have always been drawn to creativity, psychology, and personal growth. I studied visual arts, psychology, and film, at NYU, which led me into the world of marketing and entrepreneurship.
Through my work with individuals and business owners, I saw the same patterns over and over again: people pushing themselves to the limit, struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, imposter syndrome, and burnout. No matter how successful they were.
I wanted to help, but I knew mindset shifts needed to go deeper than just external success strategies. That is when I decided to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist (CBH): an evidence-based approach that combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), hypnosis, and mindfulness techniques to help people make real, lasting changes in their lives.
Work In Progress: A Space for Growth (Without Perfection)
The name Work In Progress comes from my own philosophy: self-development is about learning, growing, and evolving, one step at a time.
I don’t believe in toxic positivity or forcing yourself to think happy thoughts. Therapy with me is about understanding yourself: your existing coping strategies, your values, managing stress, and building confidence in a way that works for you.
Outside of therapy sessions
Outside of therapy sessions you will probably finding me exploring London’s wellness scene, attending the latest art exhibition, painting, or dancing around my apartment with a matcha in my hand 💁🏼♀️
I am passionate about celebrating small wins in any shape or form. So you will often find me treating myself to a nice lunch, booking a concert ticket, new shoes, or meaningful piece of jewellery.
I am also into creating content, sharing my self-development tips, latest lifestyle finds, and what I’ve been up to recently on my Instagram and TikTok (I never gate-keep). If you are into it, let’s connect on there 💛
